Good day, folks.
Cliche title eh, must be boring... mind you, I love my hometown! Do not say bad things about it.
Well, I come from Kuantan, a small town in Pahang, actually it is the capital of Pahang but my friends keep saying that it does not look like a capital of a state at all! Maybe true if you are comparing Kuantan to Kuala Lumpur or Johor Bahru or Ipoh.
I mention Kuantan a lot to my friends in college. They say that I am a little ambassador of Kuantan, but frankly speaking if they were to come to Kuantan, I do not know where to bring them to.
Kuantan has a lot of beaches such as Teluk Cempedak, Balok, Cherating, Batu Hitam and etc. Since I am a lover of beaches, I do not get tired of beaches. They are big, blue, beautiful, soothing and the smell is nice too.

Teluk Cempedak, Kuantan |
We also have a small fishing village near to Teluk Cempedak called Tanjung Lumpur. I usually come here during weekends to buy fishes, prawns and squids. There are not really cheap, but surely they are fresh! When I was in secondary school, I went here to watch fireflies with my siblings. We had to take a boat and went down the river to find fireflies. I find the trip to be quite boring but after we found a group of fireflies, the excitement immediately came to me. The scenery was breathtaking and the waiting was worth it.
Actually, my brother used to attend a school nearby to a jetty in Tanjung Lumpur. He used to take boats instead of school buses to reach my mother's office in the town. Her previous office located near to the river and only took 10 minutes of walking from the jetty to reach there. Back in those days, he only had to pay 50 cents to the fishermen for a trip. What an interesting life he had.
I think this is long enough for this entry and I am going to pen off. Hopefully you will have the chance to visit Kuantan in the future! Adios.
